Welcome
Optimising Risk, Capital and Decision-Making in Complex Systems
Former JPMorgan derivatives and XVA specialist with nearly three decades’ experience across risk, capital and market structure. I now work with organisations on problems where small structural decisions drive large economic outcomes.
I spent my career at JPMorgan working across derivatives, collateral and pricing, including leading work on capital and XVA. Alongside this, I have built and advised businesses across technology, transport and services, and continue to support companies through board roles and strategic advisory.
Today, my focus is on helping organisations solve complex problems, improve performance and make better decisions. That can mean advising on risk and capital, supporting growth businesses, contributing at board level, or building practical technology solutions that streamline how work gets done.
Where I Focus
Many decisions in finance and business are made in isolation — ignoring how capital, risk, tax and structure interact.
I focus on problems where these interactions matter — and where better structuring leads to materially better outcomes.
This includes:
- capital and risk efficiency
- funding and collateral strategy
- sequencing and structure of decisions
- governance and strategic direction
- practical implementation through systems and processes
Beyond Work
Outside work, I spend time on tennis and flying - disciplines that reinforce how I think about precision, decision-making and continuous improvement.
